Ceptual® Rockskin is the result of years of continuous research. A new generation of materials that fuse glass and stone, using Lamidur® technology to combine the real texture of natural rock and the full potential of glass in a single surface.
This combination achieves a high level of translucency with excellent anti-detachment properties, mechanical strength, UVA resistance and lightness, unlike conventional ceramic or stone exteriors. Thermal and acoustic insulation is obtained by incorporating double glazing in critical applications.

First project of Ceptual® RockSkin
The Musée d’Art de Nantes is one of the most emblematic architectural projects currently underway in France and is due for completion in 2017. The project is managed by prestigious international archictect Stanton Williams.
Translucent laminated marble, mounted with an air cavity, is used for a curtain wall façade. A large back-lit cube changes in appearance depending on the time of day or night, creating a remarkable transition between stone and light.
The characteristics of a conventional curtain wall are greatly enhanced, thanks to the inherent aesthetic value and minimal thickness of the stone and the resulting play of light.
