MANGO reopens in New York with an experience-themed flagship store

05-1-2018

MANGO has reopened its American flagship store at 561 Broadway Avenue, one of the city’s main shopping areas. This time the brand is taking its brand concept much further, by reflecting how image and interior design have evolved at its new stores. The SoHo store has been designed to fit in with the character of the historic district in which it is located and to connect with the industrial background of the building where it is housed.

Given the dimensions, high transparency and adaptations required, Pontevedresa Group executed the project in record time—just five days.

Four large corner sliding doors set at a 90-degree angle were put in place using an innovative solution for a barrier-free space. The Ceptual® Upgrade system, modified for this project, offers solutions for larger and heavier pieces. The clean lines of the façade are achieved through vitreous materials and compositions, with high transparency in storefronts and doors. Ceptual® TGP® incorporates Upgrade hydraulic fittings for opening and closing.

Clean lines, fine materials and carefully selected fabrics create a light, open space of almost 600 m2 for the men’s and women’s collections. Technology features also include digital changing rooms.
